Kath Peer                                                       Life President

Prior to the AGM, at the presentation day on 15th July, Kath Peer agreed to take up the new role of Life President.

Kath has been President for nearly 40 years and on the Executive Committee for many years prior to that.

Her loving late husband Len was our Auditor for many years and they were both totally committed to table tennis locally.

Kath also was a keen Tennis player and spent many year holidaying at Gunton Hall, Suffolk, a country holiday members centre famous for its sporting activities

Kath has also been a lifetime worker and supporter of the local Girl Guides community.

In everything she has ever done, Kath has worked tirelessly in a very friendly manner.

As a Table Tennis player in the 40s and 50s, Kath was a formidable lady player and was our number 2 to the famed Winnie Dakin: Kath won our doubles title on many occasions and represented our League in the Essex Inter League.

In her continuing love of the sport, Kath was very enthusiastic about Stuart Gibbs becoming President.

In recognition of her lifetime support of our league your Executive Committee are pleased to propose Kath Peer as our Life President.

There was a unanimous vote and

The Southend & District Table Tennis League had great pleasure in welcoming
